Healing

16 years ago I was put on a medication called Ad-vair. It is a preventive inhaler for patients with moderate to severe asthma. I was also put on an inhaler called albuterol for emergency asthma attacks. Before the doctor could figure out exactly what I needed to be on we went on a trial and error faze. I took several different medications for a few months. I can remember the first time I had to take one of the first medications. I was 6 years old, sitting on my moms lap in the kitchen. It was the nastiest tasting thing. Mom would spray it in my mouth and I would blow it right back out, crying the entire time. Now that I look back, if I would have just took a deep breath in it would have been over. But I was 6, so give me a break. A few year later Dr. Danhaur referred me to a asthma and allergy specialist, Dr. Clore. Which I am currently still seeing. Later we realized that I also had allergies. I have been seeing Dr. Clore since the age of 9 and he has been through it all with me. Like I said, I have been on several different inhaler, to many pills to count, breathing machines when I go to his office, shots and lots of prayers for healing. You name it and I have probably tried it.
A couple of years ago I noticed that my heart was starting palpitate. At first I did not pay much attention but as time pasted I noticed it happening more often. I set up an appointment with Clore and he said that the Ad-vair sometimes causes that after so long. He took me off the Ad-vair that day and then started a new search for ANOTHER new medication. But referred me to my uncle, Dr. Reader as well. Which is a heart specialist, just to make sure that nothing else was wrong. My mom is a Echocardiogram technician so she did my test and Dr. Reader read it and also put me on a 24 hour heart monitor. He decided that it was not often enough to put me on a heart medication but told me he wanted a check up after my new medication was decided. A month later Dr. Clore and I found one that seemed to be working great called Alvesco. It has a spacer that is used with it and when I use it, it makes a funny sound that sounds like a harmonica. Mom and Danny always make fun of me. Useless information but funny. I couple weeks ago I accidentally went to bed without taking it. I woke up early felling a little wheezy but was very surprised that I was not having a full blown asthma attack. So I waited and eventually went back to sleep. When I woke up a few hours later my chest was tight but was no longer wheezing. As the day went on I was having no signs of an attack. So that night I went to bed with no medicine. On purpose this time. Next morning, chest was tight but no asthma attack. I just could not believe it. I have been fighting asthma for 16 years and this is actually happening. Is what I was thinking. After a few happy tears I went along with my day. Going on a third night now. Next morning....nothing. I am currently going on two weeks without any medication. Although, I still keep my emergency inhaler beside me at all times. This is a great thing but I still have to look out for my safety. Dr. Clore is not aware of this at this point but I will see him soon and we will see what he thinks of this "healing" process I believe that I am experience.
I can not finish this without saying thank you to all the people that kept me in their prayers. And are still currently praying. Especially my mom. The one that prays with me every morning and never gave up on believing that God could heal my lungs. Next on the list God, back pain.....
